In 2013, Lego released a Back to the Future Time Machine kit. It was one of the first products to emerge from what is now known as Lego Ideas, a project that lets brick-proficient creators from around the world submit their ideas for public approval and potential production. (And yes, the designer gets a cut.) That set has been sold out for a long time, and sales on the secondary market go for many times its original $34.99 price.

For those who missed out, there's now a way to get a Lego BTTF DeLorean—no time machine required. On April 1, the Danish toymaker will release a new BTTF Time Machine kit. And it's a lot more impressive than the 2013 set, which contained 401 bricks—the new model is composed of 1,872 bricks and measures 11.5 inches (35.5 cm) long, 7.5 inches (19 cm) wide, and 4 inches (11 cm) tall.

Lego sets with almost 2,000 pieces and a movie license don't come cheap, though. The BTTF Time Machine kit will set you back $169.99.

The set contains parts to recreate any of the time machines from the three BTTF movies—the original (sans Mr. Fusion), the hovering DeLorean from BTTF 2 (complete with folding wheels), and the train-assisted time machine from the third film. If you want all three, you'll need to buy three kits. The set also comes with Doc Brown and Marty minifigs, Marty's hoverboard, various license plates, and even a banana and a beer can.

Hardcore Lego nerds might be most impressed with the windscreen, a brand-new Lego brick. Windscreens can often be a low point for Lego cars, and the 2013 Time Machine just left the area between the A-pillars open to space.
