I'm not sure what options you have with v.7.3.2.2. Do you have more than 1 choice and have you tried them all? (Launcher downgrade, or Launcher Hijack?) I don't want to 'upgrade' the firmware on mine just to find out. I can only go by what others say when they complain about the new firmware. If you have tried all choices, I understand and I guess you're just stuck with that behavior until something else can be worked out.
Currently with 7322 there is one choice i was so unhappy i bought a new one on ebay with older software.
Anyone want to buy a 8hd with 7322

That's great that your configuration works! If you feel adventurous, think about trying it out with Nova Launcher, and possibly a couple other launchers that are provided by the Toolkit, just to report back to us what works and what doesn't in the latest F/W update. You're adventures will be most appreciated by many!FYI for anyone interested, I'm on 7322 on my new Tablet HD 10 Plus and the re-routed Home button has worked fine for me with MS Launcher for several days now. I also got rid of the Lock Screen altogether.
Edit: nvm, I just clicked on the text Disable Fire Launcher and it seems to activate the invisible radio button. It got replaced now.

Don't give up. Where there's a will, a way will be found. I think they've got it pretty well locked down now, so the best option is likely to be a temp or permanent root exploit. There are people working on it, but interest seems to have fallen off recently. Keep your eyes on the threads about your specific tablet and any MTK root threads. On another note, will it now forever be impossible to disable OTA updates and remove the Fire Launcher on 7322 and upwards? Or is this just, as always, a matter of time?

Welcome to XDA!My fire HD 10 11th gen is no longer working with the home key reroute
If you have 7.3.2.2 F/W installed, and you have rebooted, it is my understanding that the re-route must be done again. From what I've heard, the fix is only temporary and doesn't survive a reboot. Most people don't reboot that often, so it's just a pain but not a total loss of function.

Hello, I want to buy a tablet and I saw that these are cheap, do you recommend me to go for a fire hd 8 2020 or a fire hd 10 2021 to be able to use the fire toolbox and the tablet work well? Thank
I like these tablets for what they are but amazon seems to not want you to be able to change anything on them. a lot of the tools dont work on the newest firmware, at least for now.
myself Im looking at getting a lenova m series tablet if they remove the ability to sideload the playstore.

HI, welcome to XDA! As was previously mentioned, Amazon does not want you to remove their advertising platform from your tablet. But, if you don't allow the tablet to update, there's a good chance you'll get firmware v.7.3.1.9 or earlier and be able to use the full capabilities of the Toolbox.Hello, I want to buy a tablet and I saw that these are cheap, do you recommend me to go for a fire hd 8 2020 or a fire hd 10 2021 to be able to use the fire toolbox and the tablet work well? Just follow the the directions in the 'spoilers' of the first post and you will have the highest likelihood of getting your wishes. Also, make sure to uncheck the box when ordering that says "Link this tablet to my Amazon account" or something similar. That way it won't have your WiFi password already loaded when you get it.
Either choice is fine. You just don't want F/W v.7.3.2.2. If you get a color other than black, you'll have the best chance of getting a tablet with v. 7.3.1.9 or earlier (IMO).

Device: Fire HD 10 (2017) 7th gen
Previously modivied with Fire Toolbox 10.2, now using 26.1
I wanted to remove the Google Services but it fails because they are still device admin for an application. However when I go to the device admin page, I see nothing enabled except for the greyed out child protection. So I cannot until anything.
Is there a way to force an re-installation in such a state?
Also, I did not use the "remove everything from amazon" tool.

Weird, after working on this for hours it seems like posting here brought me to find the solutiom myself. There was a second user account on the device that had apparently never logged in but still owned permissions. As that user, I was able to uninstall Google Play Services (and Fire Toolbox showed the Google Services option)

I figure if I upgrade my device, we'll all end up on 7322 or higher at some point in the future and would like a permanent fix.

Yes. You can block a couple IP addresses at the router to prevent further OTA's getting through. There are a couple of addresses that need to be blocked but I don't know what they are. You could do a search through this thread and others, or I could hunt them down myself tomorrow. For the OTA updates, is there a IP endpoint option that perhaps I can block on the router level? It's not as clean as disabling the ota package, but maybe an option?

I'd also like to take the time to acknowledge today as a very special day for this project! Today marks the 3RD YEAR anniversary of the project!!!
It seems like only yesterday, that the first version of the Toolbox was released! It's just crazy to think that it all started in 2019, as a very simple batch file program designed solemnly to remove lock screen ads, and has grown into what it is today! If you're interested in what started it all, I'd highly recommend checking out this post. It dives a little more into the Toolbox's background and it's beginnings!
I just wanted to THANK YOU all from the bottom of my heart for making the last 3 years so memorable! If it wasn't for the amazing support and this wonderful community, the project would've died a long time ago! You guys are the fuel that feeds the Toolbox's development!
Through this project, I've gotten to meet some wonderful people that I'd consider to be good friends:
@Davy49, @Tailborn, @Falcon342, @blaacksheep, and of course you (the one reading this)!
So, where does the Toolbox go from here? Well, I suppose the next step would be to bring the Toolbox to more platforms! Currently, the Toolbox is being ported to other platforms using the Python programming language, and PySimpleGUI. I've also been asked if the Toolbox Python port will ever become open-source, and I think the answer is most likely yes. Big things are planned for the Toolbox this year, and I hope you'll join me on this journey!
HERE'S TO THE TOOLBOX'S 3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
Love the detailed support and hard work. Thanks!
