日本三菱日联集团宣布放弃区块链支付网络项目
链捕手消息，日本最大银行三菱日联金融集团（MUFG）以业务增长缓慢为由，宣布关闭其全球开放网络（GO-NETJapan）区块链支付网络项目。MUFG于周二发布了公告。
该支付网络由MUFG和美国云服务公司AkamaiTechnologies于2019年创立。MUFG在公告中表示，GO-NETJapan无法实现扩展业务所需的必要网络效应，其中“支付交易数量增长缓慢”是由包括COVID-19大流行在内的几个因素引起的。
MUFG表示将继续在新兴金融领域寻求其他风险投资。该银行去年与Coinbase合作，在日本推出了加密货币交易所；日前也曾宣布将推出与日元挂钩的稳定币，以用于证券的即时结算。（TheBlock）
