Did you remove the old magisk install before? Remove everything and start the magisk install from scratch. I had the weird thing that even though my phone wasn't rooted I was able to pass safetynet and use my baking apps.
Yep, I've done all that. I've also tried downgrading to an earlier version where I knew it was working. Really don't know what I'm doing wrong

Hopefully someone with better knowledge than me can help👍

It's really strange as the apps that required root before I did the upgrade still seem to be working OK, but obviously I'm not able to grant root to anymore apps or do anything within Magisk. No idea whats caused this to happen! Anybody else who upgraded to the 20220225 version having root issues?

So I worked it out in the end, had to rename the magisk file to uninstall.zip and completely remove everything and start again. Frustrating as I lost all the magisk settings and modules but at least I have it working again.

Sound👍 Hopefully in later updates this will all be incorporated in. I hope so as this rom has rejuvenated my Poco, so glad to be rid of the pre-installed MIUI bloat.
good day folks, ive been on A12 arrow os for 2 days now on my poco x3 nfc and i love the rom

i wanted to know how people here rooted their arrow os 12 phones, i used a temp recovery image from orange fox before but that no longer works for me and i haven't flashed a perm recovery before flashing Arrow, any ideas would be great.

thanks for the great rom devs

I used the twrp from the Arrow 11 thread to flash magisk, this latest A12 update I had to flash Magisk the old fashioned way by changing the apk to zip and leaving cache and dalvik unwiped. Seemed to work and now have root.

Flash this one from within your current recovery. It's the reccomended recovery for A12. Note: switch to .IMG file type and flash. Then reboot to recovery again and flash Magisk.

Thanks both, the problem is i'm already on Arrow OS but my recovery is the stock recovery so it doesn't let me install anything. so do i need to redo the whole installation procedure for the ROM flashing the TWRP first and then Arrow OS?

Here's a good tutorial. Use the TWRP-3.6.0_10-1-surya !!!!! recovery that I attached in my message (post #768)

You don't have to reflash the ROM. Only flash the new recovery

The Devs don't recommend this one. They explicit point to TWRP-3.6.0_10-1-surya 15.12.21.img for Android 12
