We can’t begin his life-saving treatment without Rs 15 lakh- help!

“Guva keeps asking me when he can go home. He’s scared of the hospital and misses his friends and school back in our home town. I don’t have the heart to tell him that he might never make it back.”

At only 12 years old, my son is fighting life-threatening cancer. He urgently needs treatment to survive. 

Our troubles all started when he fell sick 8 months ago. 

At first, he had a mild fever. I made sure he stayed home and rested so that he could recover quickly.

But, this mild fever caused severe changes in his body. I tried everything I could to make sure he was okay, nothing seemed to work. I took him to a nearby clinic and got him checked.

However, despite following all the doctor’s orders, his condition only seemed to get worse.

After days of continuous pain and misery, I took him to a big hospital. 

At the hospital, doctors ran a number of tests on him. It was revealed that Guva was suffering from severe aplastic anaemia blood cancer.

I could hardly believe my ears when I heard his diagnosis. I fell to the floor in a puddle of tears.

Deep down I knew I won’t be able to afford all of this, my husband is a mere labourer. He earns merely Rs 7,000 a month. 

My husband and I begged and pleaded for help to our friends and family. We received help from our MLA and our relatives. We paid Rs 10 lakh for all the preliminary tests and medication. Now, we are in huge debt and have pawned all our jewellery. 

I am left with nothing.

“I need USD 21,429.00 for my son’s life-saving therapy. I am unable to afford it. I cannot lose my son because of my incapability to fund it. Please help me!” Guva’s father cried. 

His treatment will only start once we have the amount. 

Doctors have now told us that he needs therapy as soon as possible. 

Without treatment, his cancer will claim his life.

Unfortunately, the procedure will cost USD 21,429.00- a sum we simply cannot afford. 

We’ve sold all our valuable belongings and taken loans from multiple people to be able to get this far. Now, we’re left with nothing to fall back on.
