据国外媒体报道，《每日邮报》称，雅虎CEO梅耶尔日前买下了住宅附近的一家殡仪馆。交易价格目前未知。
梅耶尔住在加州帕罗奥多(Palo Alto)一住宅区，她的住所面积5600平方英尺（约520平方米），占地0.3英亩（约1214平方米）。
梅耶尔买下的这家殡仪馆名为“Roller&Hapgood&Tinney”。该建筑占地1.16英亩（约4694平方米）。对于梅耶尔买下殡仪馆的动机，《每日邮报》称：有开发商想要将这个地段开发成住宅区，而梅耶尔不希望这样。
无独有偶，同样住在加州帕罗奥多(Palo Alto)住宅区的扎克伯格此前也被爆在住宅附近购买了四栋别墅，而据称动机也是为了阻止开发商拆迁。
