Folks, I really love the "Show/Hide password" pattern 😍 Unfortunately, I see incorrect implementation sometimes where the button element is missed.

So users can't show or hide a password using a keyboard. They have to use a mouse or other pointing device 😥😥😥 You can check out it on Booking when you log in.

Also I found the better approach on Airbnb. On this website, users can use the keyboard to quickly focus from the field to the button using the tab key. Then they push the enter key for showing or hiding the password.

The one more thing is when the button is used screen readers can detect it for interacting. So the button is the important path of the "Show/Hide password" pattern that improves accessibility and user experience ❤❤❤

Forcing users to fill in an email is bad UX

Folks, this's a time when I'd share my pain. I have 5 constant passwords. Sometimes I forget which from them I should enter. So I'm a fan of the password reset feature. But I'm sad 😐because that isn't well implemented everywhere.

For example, I'll consider password reset on the Preply website. When I get the mistake of unsuccessful validation I push on the "Forgot password" link. Then the app asks me to fill in my email. But I did that already! 😤😤😤

I don't understand why my email might not be added automatically. I filled in it in the previous step. I don't want to do it again! Praise God, there are nice examples 🙏🙏🙏

If I use password reset on Booking my email is added without my additional actions. I fill in it one time. I go to the form of password reset where my email is added. Just I push the Enter key. All! I can reset my password.

Give the chance to fix the incorrect password

Folks, how often did you make mistakes when you log in on apps? 🤔

I'm a man who does it every day. I noticed apps reset my password if validation is failed. The typical example is Amazon. If we enter an incorrect password it will be reset after validation. Oh... I'm just mad because that isn't user-friendly 😤😤😤

And I scream, "Alleluia!" Thank you so much to Booking! 🙏🙏🙏 Their app doesn't do that. If we make a mistake with the password it isn't reset. Thus we can fix the mistake instead of entering a password again 😍
