One year ago, we introduced Duffel Flights, and today, we’re excited to follow up with Duffel Payments - a purpose-built payments product for the travel industry.

The travel industry is already notoriously hard to enter and, on top of that, as a travel seller you have to overcome many hurdles related to payments: finding the right payment solution, getting approval as a high-risk industry, negotiating competitive pricing in a low margin environment, and managing cash flow.

We’ve partnered with Stripe in order to bring Duffel Payments to life, building on top of their super powerful and secure foundation, and tailoring it to the specific needs of the travel industry.

We’re continuing to break down the barriers to innovation in travel. With Duffel Payments, you can sign up in just a few minutes with no upfront capital or down payments. This combats the lengthy application and approval process and the large bond needed to get started with a PSP, or the regular top-ups and holding of cash in a digital wallet.

Developers can plug directly into our API or embed our Payments Component into a website or app in just a few minutes, making it easy to capture card payments in 135+ currencies. The component is PCI-compliant, removing the need for travel sellers to worry about handling credit card data, or invest time and money to achieve and maintain compliance.
