So maybe a new build will land next week

Windows 11 preview builds obviously play a key role in the future of the operating system, and this is why Microsoft has pledged to a weekly release model that provides members of the Windows Insider program with new builds to try out.

But given it’s early software we’re talking about here, there are moments when some things go wrong, and this is why Microsoft has to push back the release until it manages to deal with the bug.

Last week, Microsoft canceled the typical Windows 11 preview build release due to quality issues that needed to be addressed before it landed in the hands of insiders.

“Hey Folks - Unfortunately our build candidate this week didn't meet our quality bar for release so we don't have a new flight for #WindowsInsiders in the Dev Channel this week.  We hope to be back at it with a flight next week,” Microsoft announced last week.

Another delay

As it turns out, the company still hasn’t been able to fix the quality issues that caused the delay, so this week, it’s once again pushing back the release of a Windows 11 preview build.

In other words, no new Insider build for the Dev channel this week either, and once again, Microsoft hopes things would return to normal next week.

“Hey Folks, we're still working out a few issues so no new build this week. We hope to be back at it with a flight next week,” the company says in an updated announcement.

In the meantime, everybody is also waiting for the release of the major Windows 11 update due to this month. Microsoft hasn’t yet provided an ETA as to when the rollout would start, but given it includes a public preview of Android apps on Windows 11, it’s not hard to understand why it’s such a highly anticipated release.
