I assume you still need to own the Steam version?

No just a membership for geforce now

No just a membership for geforce now

Nope, you need to own the game, as GeforceNow is just remote machine to which one logs in with Steam/Epic account

Yup that is how GeForce NOW (GFN) works - you purchase the games on EITHER Steam or EPIC, link your accounts to the GFN service then [search for the game] stream it on any device that is compatible with GFN.

Use the list here to see which games it streams with:

I just started using GFN like 3 months ago and it is a great service. They have a free tier so you can test it out and see how it works on the devices you'd like to play on and see how your internet can handle it (I think around 20-30mbps is min for basically lag-free gameplay). The free tier will kick you off at one hour but it gives you timed updates of this at like 40 min, 20 then 10 minutes counting down so you can save before closing. Then just reopen again. Only downside [with the free tier] is depending on time of day you may have to wait like 20 minutes to get into the game (you're put into a queue) or it could be 10 seconds (like in the middle of the night). But for free it's still great. They also have paid tiers with longer session limits and more perks (better gfx, etc.).

And as for Dying Light 2, it can be purchased from Steam or EPIC - GFN will say if its both or just one.

You don't need to explain GFN to me, I know how it works

But from the wording in the Nvidia Press Release it sounded like it was free to all GFN members (aka the game would be included in the membership)

Sorry for wasting my time explaining then. You could have been more specific, the way you worded your OP made it sound like you were unaware on how it worked. And if you're confused by the press release then it sounds like you are still unaware how it works...lol

The way Nvidia worded it made it sounds like it was a free week for members or something

I still don't like how publishers can just pull their games from GFN.
