Shapespark 3D Meetings

I’m Mat from Shapespark and it’s great to be here. We work on a rendering engine on a daily basis but today we’d love to present to you something slightly different to what we usually do.

⚡️What is this?⚡️

It’s a 3D video conferencing solution. You enter a 3D world and you can explore it together with other people while talking to them. You can sit in a beautiful virtual room with friends and have a video chat or have a sales conversation with customer in a virtual sales room/showroom.

The idea behind 3D Meetings stemmed from the fact that architects, interior designers and 3D artists don’t have their own dedicated solution to discuss design with customers or other creators working on the same project. But then we saw a whole host of opportunities of how this can be used - virtual events (hey, you can walk in a 3D Meeting freely and this really reminds you of an offline event experience), online parties, virtual sales rooms/showrooms and more.

The main advantage of 3D Meetings is that you can design and create your own 3D space, either fully by yourself if you know 3D modeling programs like SketchUp, 3ds Max or Blender or working with a 3D artist that will model the space for you.

✅Do 3D Meetings work in browsers?✅

Sure they do. And they work on mobile. You don’t need to download anything to join a meeting. Software is needed if you want to create your own 3D space but when the space is already done anyone with a link can enter.
