QuotaPath and SaaSOptics Simplify Sales Commission Calculation and Accounting with New Partnership

QuotaPath, the leading commission calculation and quota attainment tracking tool, today announced a new partnership with SaaSOptics, the leading platform for B2B SaaS financial operations and subscription management. The QuotaPath Commissions Connector allows users to automatically calculate sales commissions in QuotaPath and then accurately account for them using Expense Recognition by SaaSOptics, saving time and increasing data accuracy.

“SaaSOptics’ partnership with QuotaPath will completely change the way finance and accounting teams calculate and account for the commissions their sales team earns,” said Barrow Hamilton, chief product officer for SaaSOptics. “I’m excited to get this functionality into the hands of our customers so they can refocus the time spent on manual commissions management and accounting to instead be focused on business growth driving activities.”

On average, companies spend up to 12 hours each month calculating sales commissions alone, according to benchmarking research from QuotaPath and the Revenue Collective. Through the new integration, QuotaPath’s commission tracking technology will seamlessly integrate with Expense Recognition by SaaSOptics, fully automating the commissions management processes and saving users significant time. With QuotaPath, users can easily build custom compensation plans, calculate how much their sales representatives have earned, and pay them on time. Then, the QuotaPath Commissions Connector will sync this data to Expense Recognition by SaaSOptics. This enables finance and accounting teams to easily and accurately account for all earned commissions, in addition to prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and reseller agreements.

Other key benefits include:

  • Eliminate the need for manual processes done in spreadsheets while also avoiding the potential of costly mistakes due to spreadsheet errors.
  • A central view for revenue and expense management where users can accurately account for all sales orders and expenses from a single system. Users can run reports to receive a detailed view of their financials, analyze margins, and connect the dots between previously disconnected business processes.
  • Sales representatives have visibility into their forecasted and earned commissions, reducing the amount of time spent by finance and accounting answering commission questions.

“Our partnership and integration with SaaSOptics represents a huge milestone for QuotaPath,” said QuotaPath Founder and COO Cole Evetts. “This allows us to bridge the gap between two massively important steps in the commissions process and provide a single source of truth that connects sales, operations, and now finance and accounting. Build, automate, and track your team’s commissions in QuotaPath, then seamlessly sync to SaaSOptics to utilize their Expense Recognition engine.”

In July 2021, Expense Recognition by SaaSOptics was first launched, enabling users to capitalize, recognize, and report on expenses with ease. By pairing this functionality with the SaaSOptics Revenue Recognition, users have a central location to manage revenue and expenses. The new partnership with QuotatPath makes Expense Recognition even easier.

The QuotaPath Commissions Connector is the latest step for QuotaPath after a year of major growth. In July, the Austin-based startup raised $21.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners. Existing backers ATX Ventures, Integr8d Capital, Stage 2 Capital and HubSpot Ventures also participated in the financing, which brings the startup’s total funding to $26.3 million since its 2018 inception. In addition, QuotaPath has seen 600% revenue growth since January 2021 and currently has over 5,000 users on the platform.
