维基百科背后非营利组织维基媒体基金会停止接受加密货币捐赠
据Cointelegraph 1月12日消息，维基百科背后的非营利组织维基媒体基金会（The Wikimedia Foundation）在面临来自贡献者的压力后，决定出于对环境的担忧而停止接受加密货币捐赠，据悉，三年前，维基媒体基金会就开始通过BitPay接受加密货币捐款。
根据Molly White（GorillaWarfare）提交的一份提案，接受加密货币与维基媒体积极努力改善环境可持续性的承诺不一致。Molly White建议，接受加密货币是对维基媒体及其成员“对加密货币领域的认可”的回应，但继续接受加密货币有可能损害该组织的声誉。
