讣告：汉学家史景迁去世
研究中国及其广博历史的杰出学者史景迁(Jonathan D. Spence)在《太平天国》(God’s Chinese Son: The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom of Hong Xiuquan, 1996)和《追寻现代中国》(The Search for Modern China, 1990)等书中挖掘中国的过去，也阐释中国的现在，他于12月25日在康涅狄格州西黑文家中去世，享年85岁。他的遗孀、耶鲁大学教授金安平（Annping Chin）说，史景迁的去世原因是帕金森病的并发症。
史景迁获得过麦克阿瑟奖、《洛杉矶时报》图书奖和众多其他荣誉，他写了十多本关于中国的著作，还出版了评论、散文，举办讲座。史被认为是费正清之后美国汉学家中的代表人物之一。
