12月13日，比特币核心开发人员Jimmy Song在推特上发文称，90%的比特币供应量用了12.9年释放，接下来9%的比特币供应量也将花费大致相同的时间，即12.9年。随后0.9%得比特币供应量同样会花费相同的时间。也就是说，1890万枚BTC供应量释放时间是12.9年，2079万枚BTC供应量释放时间约为25.8年时间，2097.9万枚BTC供应量释放时间约为38.7年时间。
