Question Pixel 6 DeGoogle tips?

oh I thought all the folks publishing custom kernels around here just use the branch I mentioned with its prepared build environment. If Google uses it as-is on their CI shouldn't the process be the same?
I just wanted to test my kernel changes real quick.
Personal preference ,i prefer to do it the way i said but you may prefer another way

I see, and it would have been better if I did that a week ago when I started trying to build it their way...
Thanks, I will see.

You dont have to restart just setup another enviroment with kernel and toolchain of preference and see if you get better results if not go back to the other instance and do it that way.

each developer you talk to will say that they do it this way or that way there is no wrong way

Vendor files i get directly from https://developers.google.com/android/drivers

Not to mention you need to also extract vendor.img to get all the required files using https://github.com/GrapheneOS/android-prepare-vendor
Because if you dont then you will be missing some required files that google does not include in the vendore blobs.

Gapps another couple of devs linked me to 3 differnt gits ,i will link you to them when i get home currently out and about
The "drivers" package includes everything -- its a prebuilt vendor image and a couple of other files. Nothing is missing.

What you use to freeze apps.. I have SD maid
Titanium backup, but you can also use oandbackupx or adb

the vendor blobs have only the minimum required files for the build to build correctly it is still missing some proprietary files that are included in the vendor.img of the latest stock download for pixel6/pro if you believe i am wrong feel free to show me how i am wrong because all this current information comes from multiple people including kdragon , FullOfHell , and a few others developers.

I'm sure there are extra files in the factory version, but nothing that is actually useful. If you disagree, list the files you believe are missing and what you think they do.
Your privacy would most likely still be in tact even if you unfroze and used the calculator app... That one may be a bit of overkill.... Just sayin

Watch someone will post some code snippet that proves me wrong. I guess I wouldn't be that shocked.

Google - "This guy just used our calculator app to solve 5 + 5 and 8 - 4 in the same day. Let's send him some ads for Online GED programs"

Please feel free to read what @eloko posted about android-prepare-vendor or ask any developer like @kdrag0n about this. As i stated before multiple developers have stated that pixel6/pro vendor is missing proprietary files.
I dont know what more proof you need other than above link and what other devolopers have said who have more experience in the matter.

Why does a calculator have internet access and a tracker then?
Why does a calculator have internet access and a tracker then?
Does it? Ive never received a location usage alert when using my calculator and it definitely still works with no radios enabled. But I guess it could still have that access and it's just dormant most of the time. Do you know for sure it has those permissions?

Yes I know for sure, you can check on Aurora or exodus privacy's website

The "above link" is in general and refers to older devices that do NOT include pixel 6. So I'll say again, if you think there are necessary blobs missing, state what they are and what you think they are needed for.

The fact remains that pixel 6 builds of aosp appear to be quite fully functional without any additions beyond what google has prepared.

i believe you are missing the point and not wanting to listen.
when other developers who own both devices plus other pixels say the vendor blobs are missing required files, i would trust them more than you, because some of them are recognized developers here on xda and have backgrounds in phone development ouside of here.
With that i will also say this ...
Have a great day

You are the one not listening. You are making broad statements with absolutely nothing to back it up. If you want to claim that something is missing, the only way you can do that is to demonstrate it as fact. Saying "go ask someone else" does not in any way support your position.

So for the last time, PUT UP OR SHUT UP.
