Celebrating one year of React Native Radio (Infinite Red edition)

A year of weekly podcasting deserves a look back!

One year ago, Infinite Red acquired and relaunched React Native Radio, which is the biggest React Native podcast on earth.

We had some experience with podcasting before with our Building Infinite Red podcast. However, React Native Radio was a whole new challenge! It was much larger (with 4k+ subscribers), published weekly rather than ad-hoc, with a new primary host (yours truly) and all-new co-hosts.

We hit the ground running and have been having a blast. Let’s take a walk back through time to see changes you won’t want to miss!

A Host of Hosts.

Hosting a weekly podcast is quite a commitment! But luckily we had a lot of help.

and I have remained the primary hosts of React Native Radio. She’s currently taking maternity leave and will be back in February. is awesome but her schedule is quite hectic, so she’s taking some time off of the podcast. joins in when he has time, and new co-hosts and have been a great addition to the crew.

We’ve also brought in some spectacular panelists such as

, , and .

A Gang of Guests.

A … Lot of Episodes.

Let’s take a look at some notable non-interview episodes!

Over the past year we added some new episode types, including the periodic “We React to News” episodes, changelog review episodes with every React Native release, and conference roundups.

We have even more ideas for 2021. We’ll be bringing on prestigious guests from Facebook Engineering and other great companies and open source projects, as well as doing more host panel discussions about everything React Native. We’ll do some live shows on YouTube, talk about new libraries and popular library new releases, and there may even be more of my famous tractor stories in the future.

As always, a huge thank you to all of you who have listened to and supported the show. React Native Radio wouldn’t be what it is without you. If you’re new to the podcast, please do subscribe! It’s on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, and anywhere else you get your podcasts — just search for “React Native Radio”.

See you next time!
