China’s first Metaverse industrial committee established

On November 11, the inauguration ceremony of China’s Metaverse Industry Committee was held. The Metaverse Industry Committee was jointly established by the Institute of Engineering and Technology of IOT, Central Chain Global, Metaverse Lab and other enterprises, research institutes and industry experts.

The committee was granted on October 15th as the first national Metaverse committee, aiming to promote the healthy and sustainable development of the metaverse industry.

The committee also named November 11th as the national "Metaverse Day" and released the "Metaverse Industry Declaration".

According to the declaration,  metaverse is  a new hot spot for global innovation competition. As an integrator of cutting-edge digital technology, the metaverse have applications in all kinds of scenarios, thus will boost the development of digital economy.

According Yu Jianing, executive director of the committee, the Metaverse Industry Committee will focus on five aspects: strengthening research on metaverse industry, accelerating technological innovation and integration of metaverse industry, promoting metaverse to empower the development of other industry, promoting and popularizing new thinking of metaverse, and strengthening industry collaboration and self-regulation.
