A Step by Step Guide to Pool Mining Ethereum ETH in 2021 with 4GB Graphics Cards!

The current DAG Size of Ethereum is 4.508 GB, this means you won't be able to mine Ethereum with 4GB cards anymore, this might feel like something really sad. You might be thinking about selling all your 4GB cards, but wait a minute. There's another way !!

Using Unmineable you are still able to Mine with 4GB cards and then getting paid in Ether, there's two ways of doing this, in the post below I'll explain Step by Step the two options you have to mine Ethereum with 4GB cards in 2021.

Ethereum is a decentralized, open-source blockchain with smart contract functionality. Ether is the native cryptocurrency of the platform. Amongst cryptocurrencies, Ether is second only to Bitcoin in market capitalization. Ethereum was conceived in 2013 by programmer Vitalik Buterin.

Okay, let’s get you started!

STEP 1: Ethereum Wallet

I will assume you already have your Ethereum Wallet, which could be Metamask, Exodus or Atomic Wallet. From the wallet go ahead and copy your public Address.

STEP 2: Download the Miner

The easiest way to mine Ethereum with 4GB cards is using the Unmineable software directly, the other way is just downloading the miners individually and configuring them with the proper parameters.

Before downloading these files, set some exclusions on Windows Defender, in your antivirus and also in your browser so you can download the files without being bothered with notifications of dangerous files.

Most of the mining software is always detected as malicious code, viruses and dangerous files which could harm your PC.

Download the MFI version (Miners files included).

If you decide to go for option 2, then I would recommend you to get: Teamredminer (AMD cards), Phoenixminer (AMD/NVIDIA) or Trex (Nvidia).

Step 3:Install and Configuration

The unmineable software is just one executable file, it already contains all the configurations so it is the best and easiest way to mine Ethereum with 4gb with your computer !!

It looks exactly like this when you run it:

You can select GPU cards or CPU, in this case select GPU.

It will take you to the second screen where you will enter your Ethereum Address and also the code which will allow you to drop your Dev Fee from 1% to 0.75%.

Use the code: e4xd-wmzl to drop your Dev Fee to 0.75% (it makes a difference).

Your screen should look like this:

Once you click on the Start button, you should see a similar screen:

At this point I would recommend you to click the option at the bottom to display the logs (Looks like a sheet of paper), here click Force Stop.

Then click the Settings Icon (Looks like a cog wheel), in the screen that pops up you want to double check a few things:

1. Make sure the algorithm selected is ETCHASH since you are mining with 4GB cards.
2. Make sure the Code e4xd-wmzl is showing in the referral box.
3. Set a name for your worker (The computer you are mining from).
4. Set your mining Intensity at the top, I would recommend High for those periods when you are not using the computer.

It looks similar to this:

Click on the Save & Restart button to start mining !!

Once it starts you can check the speed of your Graphic card which shows as the Current Hashrate.

Also you can click on the stats button on the top right to go directly to the Unmineable website where you can check your balance and request a manual payment.

note it is recommended you change a few settings in Windows, there's people that disable the Updates and also disables sleeping mode, hibernation or anything that could turn off the computer while it is not in use.

If you are using a Laptop, make sure it has some battery or is plugged so it won't shut down.

Congrats, if you are using Unmineable you are now a miner !!

For those who want to have a bit more of control and set everything manually then this is what you should do:

Extract the miner software to a folder in your computer which is Excluded from Windows defender or antivirus software.

Once inside the folder, look for a file which is usually called Start or Pool Mine Example.

Inside this file you have to configure the miner to connect to the Unmineable Pool, and also you have to set the coin you want to be paid in and your address.

Should look something similar to this:

teamredminer.exe -a etchash -o etchash.unmineable.com:3333 -u ETH:0x9b0ab9ef6a18340e2e150afb62930604e375305c.WorkerID#e4xd-wmzl -p x

In here you set the Pool URL after the -o , you can also select URLs closer to your location:

USA: rx-us.unmineable.com:3333
Europe: rx-eu.unmineable.com:3333
Asia: rx-asia.unmineable.com:3333

Then make sure the algorithm is set to etchash since you are mining with 4GB cards.

And for the -u which is your address you need the following pattern:

[COIN]:[Wallet address].[workerID]#[Code to lower mining fee]

In this case you let Unmineable know they should pay you in ETH and then after the ":" you will set your Ethereum wallet public address.

Don't forget the unmineable referral code e4xd-wmzl to lower your Dev Fee from 1% to 0.75% at the end after #

Once all of this is set, you can run the start file as Administrator and the miner should run and begin mining !!

Additional recommendations: Download MSI afterburner for Windows and set the best Overclocking profile for your particular card so you can drop your energy usage and also get better hashrates.
