At the FreeBSD Developer and Vendor Summit 2014, by Brendan Gregg: senior performance architect at Netflix. In this talk, Brendan summarized the different types of flame graphs: CPU, memory, disk I/O, off-CPU, and chain graphs, and showed how they can be generated on FreeBSD. He also did some live demos, including a new method of off-CPU flame graph generation suggested by the audience.
