I have visited Granada, and almost all restaurant owners will actually give you free tapas when you order a drink – this is of course assuming that tapas are on the menu. The people in Granada are very nice – and this local custom is a reflection of that.
Do people in Granada speak English?
No, most locals in Granada do not speak much English – they may know a little bit, but you will usually find that people are somewhat hesitant when it comes to speaking English, since most people do not have a good grasp of the English language. Of course, hotel receptionists should have no problem speaking English – so it should be easy to communicate with them.
