Apple Watch Series 7 has been pictured in the real world for the first time since last month’s unveiling. The images show that the device’s new display is noticeably larger and curvier than on previous models.

Apple’s newest smartwatch could finally be available for preorder later this week ahead of its official debut this fall.

Apple Watch Series 7 shows its face

Although Apple Watch Series 7 is near identical to its predecessor in almost every way, it does have a couple of decent selling points. It charges 33% faster, and it has a much larger display that puts more content on your wrist.

The new display is also a little curvier. It wraps around the edges of Apple Watch 7 to meet its aluminum case — and real-world photos posted ahead of the device’s debut prove that the changes really are noticeable.

The images were posted in a Facebook group (but later removed) by someone who claims to be testing Apple’s newest wearable for one of its carrier partners, according to MacRumors. It seems no other information was provided.

Perhaps other changes will also be noticeable when Apple Watch 7 makes its way into more hands, but given that it is so similar to previous models — with the same processor as Series 6 — we’re not expecting any big surprises.

Apple Watch 7 could be available soon

So, when can you get your own Apple Watch Series 7? Well, Apple still hasn’t confirmed a launch date; its website still says the device is “available later this fall.” But according to a couple of recent reports, the wait could soon be over.

Apple partner Hermès has been telling fans that Apple Watch 7 will be available to preorder this Friday, October 8. Jon Prosser of Front Page Tech also reported last Thursday that the device could go on sale this week.

If Apple sticks to its typical launch pattern for new hardware — and that date is accurate — Apple Watch 7 could land on doorsteps and in Apple Store locations on Friday, October 14. We hope to hear more from Apple this week.
