We live in uncertain times.

Recently it’s become increasingly clear how business practices can be disrupted by environmental catastrophes, transformations to remote workplace operations, and — as we all know — global, life-altering pandemics.

How do we navigate these rapid changes?

One way is to keep an eye on SAP partners. They have driven a wave of technological innovation to manage our current situation, capitalize on the new world we are living in, and prepare for future disruptions.

In 2020, partners stepped forward to help address challenges presented by COVID-19. This year they have continued to offer solutions for businesses to adjust to changed work conditions and to help ease strain on supply chains.

Bolstering environmental sustainability, developing tools to support the life sciences industry, and innovating for the future of work are some ways SAP partners are continuing to help us adapt in 2021 and beyond.

We’ve highlighted several below, many of which you can find on SAP Store. And with every purchase made via SAP Store, SAP will do its part for the environment and plant a tree.

Environmental Sustainability

It’s no surprise that in recent years there has been a spike in awareness, initiatives and investments concerning the impact of climate change on our planet. Clean energy, limiting the use of fossil fuels, and decreased carbon emissions are all concepts that have slowly become integrated into the vocabulary of every person and business.

SAP partners are actively engaged in the fight against climate change with their sustainable solutions.

For example, Clarifruit’s quality control app for fresh produce – integrated with SAP S/4HANA® – uses artificial intelligence to digitalize, automate, and facilitate quality control. This provides parties across the supply chain with high-quality data to maximize profitability and reduce rejections and waste.

Innovapptiveis ambitious in its efforts to deploy complete paperless warehouse operations through mInventory, “a turnkey mobile barcoding solution that performs automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) to deliver real-time visibility into their physical inventory movement,” according to Innovaptive CEO, Sundeep V. Ravande. It benefits businesses by making warehouse operations more efficient and reducing costs in the process.

Planalytic’sWeather-Driven Demand Analytics solution puts a consumer context around raw weather data, converting it into quantifiable and usable information that helps businesses increase sales and stay ahead of changing demand, all while reducing perishable waste by 35 percent within 90 days.

Life Sciences

This has been a disruptive year for the life sciences industry. With accelerated vaccine trials and shortages in the medical supply chain (personal protective equipment, drugs, and medical devices), this industry has relied heavily on the adoption of innovative technology.

That’s where SAP partners enter the scene. They are prepared to arm businesses with tools to challenge adversity with innovation.

Tenthpin’sLife Sciences Innovation Center, with locations in San Francisco, Walldorf, Bangalore and Shanghai, delivers a next generation clinical trial supply management solution — powered by SAP technology. “The future of the value chain for the life science industry will be data-driven and patient-centric,” says Michael Schmidt, Tenthpin partner and co-founder.

SyMetric Trial Analytics, by Achiral Systems Pvt. Ltd. (popularly known as SyMetric), is a flexible cloud-based solution for clinical trials. The features of this solution include the consolidation of aggregated data from past studies, as well as a dashboard to systematically and reliably plan for new studies. This allows for higher success rates, trust in the data, and increased transparency into performance of trials.

Future of Work

COVID-19 brought many unforeseen changes to the world, but not all of them were bad. One change was opportunity. Employers and employees found ways to continue operations and remain efficient while being physically distant.

While avoiding the morning commute brought relief, there were plenty of hurdles to overcome — communication, flexibility, productivity — for this to be a viable, long-term option for companies to implement.

Is working from home the new norm or a Band-Aid while times are tough? Is it sustainable or will we return to in-person workplaces?

MentorSpaces has the idea that “a person can’t be who they haven’t seen.” This motto drives their digital mentorship platform to easily attract, hire, and retain diverse talent. Their platform allows for employees to receive the mentorship they need from a remote setting.

With the swift adaptation of converting to a home office, and an increase of up to 1,000 percent in traffic to customer support and service functions, eGain helps customers solver their remote IT issues through eGain Knowledge Hub™. This hub enables agents to resolve customer queries with fast, accurate and personalized guidance.

Jumping even further into the future of work, The Immerse Platform from Immerse Learning Ltd. offers live virtual reality training for a range of topics, including health and safety, technical and soft skills, and on-boarding .

While we know all industries cannot operate remotely — manufacturing, food, entertainment, etc. — these SAP partners help us discover new ways to innovate in the world of remote work.

We are Sure of This
