On September 29, tons of cafés and coffee shops across the US opened up their doors to celebrate the humble coffee bean by offering free (or nearly free) cups of coffee for National Coffee Day. Two days later, it's now International Coffee Day, and we've decided to update our list of deals and add a couple new ones to keep the party going.
We're all about the java at WIRED. Be sure to check out our many coffee-related guides, like the Best Latte & Cappuccino Makers, Best Portable Coffee Makers, Best Coffee Subscriptions, and Best Coffee Grinders.
Updated October 1: I removed some deals that expired after National Coffee Day ended, added the Brew Bundle from Slow Pour Supply and a coffee deal from Atlas Coffee for International Coffee Day.

The Precision Brewer features a glass carafe and adjustable water temperature, which is the secret to good drip coffee. Just don't leave it on the heating plate too long; all bottom-heated coffee machines will impart a burnt flavor eventually. There's also a version that comes with a thermal carafe for $240 ($60 off).
Breville makes some of the best espresso machines we've tested. The Barista Express doesn't heat up quite as fast as our absolute favorites, the Barista Pro and Dual Boiler, but it's a lot more affordable and can do just about everything, from grind the beans to foam your milk. It's been retailing for about $700 since the pandemic started, but if you're willing to get it in Black, it's on sale right now.
Origami Drippers are all the rage right now, and for good reason. They’re sturdy, gorgeously crafted, and they produce a delightful cup of pourover coffee. This bundle nets you a dripper, a ceramic travel mug from Sttoke, a wooden holder for the dripper (think of it like an adapter, so the dripper can fit just about any size mug), and a package of filters that’ll keep you going for months. Or weeks, depending on how much coffee you drink. No judgment.
The Primula is always really affordable, and it's been our favorite cold-brew coffee maker for a few years now. This is as good a time as any to pick one up. It's relatively easy to clean, keeps cold brew mostly sediment free, and is more durable than many cold-brew carafes. It comes in a few fun colors, too!
Double-walled glass is a killer way to serve up coffee. The interior vacuum keeps your beverage warm, and the glass walls let you see all those gorgeous caramel colors swirling as you stir.
Partners Coffee offers a good variety of beans at reasonable prices. You can get 10 percent off all coffee and tea orders from September 28 to October 3 if you enter the code DISCOVER at checkout. Quick tip, though: Partners also offers 15 percent off of your first two orders with the code FRESH, so you might want to place a couple orders to make the most of these discounts.
Atlas Coffee is a coffee subscription service that delivers freshly roasted beans to your doorstep every two weeks or four weeks, and for National and International Coffee Day it's offering up a free bag of beans with the code COFFEEDAY2021. If you don’t plan on sticking with the subscription be sure to cancel it after you place your order for your free bag, you have to pick a two week or four week recurring order at checkout but you can cancel it right after.
