Linus Torvalds 在内核邮件列表商宣布释出 Linux 5.15-rc1，commit 数是 5.x 系列最少。主要新变化包括： Paragon Software 开发的 NTFS3 内核驱动，改进对微软 NTFS 文件系统的支持；内核空间 SMB3 文件服务器 KSMBD；AMD PassThru DMA 引擎驱动；英特尔 DG2/Alchemist 和 XeHP 显卡初步支持；改进 Apple M1 支持；等等。如果一切顺利，Linux 5.15 正式版将在 11 月释出。
