乔治·奥威尔处女作小说被译成爱沙尼亚语并出版
据 ERR 的 Kultuur 门户网站报道，乔治·奥威尔的《缅甸岁月》已被翻译成爱沙尼亚语，并由Postimees出版社发售。
由 Maarja Maasikas 从英文原文翻译成爱沙尼亚语的《缅甸岁月》（爱沙尼亚语："Birma päevad"）是奥威尔发表的首部小说作品，于1934年问世。
由于对诽谤的担忧，包括对人和地方的诽谤，在缅甸被英国统治时期，这部小说最初不得不在美国出版。
