Super Follows is a paid monthly subscription that offers bonus content, exclusive previews, and perks as a way to support and connect with people on Twitter.

During the initial test, only subscribers on iOS devices can purchase a Super Follows subscription from people in the initial test group. Find them by looking for the Super Follow button on their profile. We plan to include Android and web as we roll out more broadly.

People who offer Super Follows subscriptions choose what bonus content they share. Right now, they can only share bonus content through Super Follower-only Tweets. As we roll out further, we hope to include Spaces, newsletters and other Twitter features as potential bonus content. See examples of what each person offers when you tap the Super Follow button located on their profile.

As a Super Follower, you can Retweet and Quote Tweet Super Follows Tweets. Only other Super Followers will see Retweets, shared links, or Direct Messages of Super Follows Tweets. Non-subscribers will only see your comment in a Quote Tweet, but will be instructed to Super Follow the creator in order to see the Super Follows Tweet.

If you’d like to Super Follow more than one person, you’ll simply visit each person’s profile and  tap Super Follow to learn more and purchase their specific subscription. Each subscription is a separate purchase. Every month, your subscriptions auto-renew on or around the same date you initially subscribed to each profile, and until you pause or cancel your subscription. 

The person you Super Follow sets the monthly cost of their subscription at $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99.

When you Super Follow someone, they can earn up to 97% of what you pay, after in-app purchase fees, up to $50,000 in lifetime earnings based on Twitter’s Super Follows Creator Terms. After $50,000 in lifetime earnings, they can earn up to 80% of revenue after in-app purchase fees.

When you purchase a Super Follows subscription on an iOS device, Twitter will receive a receipt of the transaction that includes some information about your purchase, including the last four digits of the card number used to complete the purchase. The person you Super Follow won’t see your payment details or credit card information.

We aren’t offering free trials of Super Follows at this time.

Right now, subscribers can purchase a Super Follows subscription and view Super Follows Tweets from an iOS device. As we roll out more broadly, subscribers can view and interact with Super Follower content on iOS, Android and web. We also plan to include subscription purchase from an Android device. 

On an iOS device navigate to the Twitter profile you’d like to Super Follow. If they offer a Super Follows subscription, and you already follow them, you’ll notice the Super Follow button in the top right corner of their profile. If you don’t already follow them, look for the Super Follows icon [insert icon] next to the blue Follow button [insert button] in the top right corner of their profile.

When you tap Super Follow, you’ll see a preview of the type of bonus content they may offer their Super Followers and the subscription price. 

Tap Super Follow to accept the terms and complete your subscription purchase. 

In addition to the regular Tweets the person you Super Follow posts, you’ll also see Tweets in your Home timeline posted exclusively for Super Followers to interact with and reply to. When you reply to a Tweet from someone you Super Follow, you’ll see a publicly-visible badge next to your display name signaling that you Super Follow them. If you ever want to see all of someone’s Super Follows Tweets in one place, visit their profile and tap the Super Follows Tweets tab. These will be visible to you as long as you Super Follow them.

If you ever need to pause or cancel a Super Follows subscription, you’ll manage your subscription from the App Store. Your Super Follows access continues through the end of your billing cycle. Super Followers may unsubscribe for any reason, at any time, and must do so to ensure that they are no longer billed for the subscription.

Super Follows subscriptions, including those linked to suspended Twitter accounts, or accounts that you lost access to for any other reason, are non-refundable, unless required by law.

We understand that Super Follows isn’t for everybody, and that’s ok! The free Tweets you know and love aren’t going anywhere. Super Follows is optional, and meant for people looking for more ways to support their favorite voices on Twitter.

Yes! To see regular Tweets posted by someone who offers a Super Follows subscription, simply follow them as you normally would.

Free Twitter isn’t going away. Super Follows subscriptions simply offer an additional way for people to support their favorite voices on Twitter.
