和其它社交网络类似，Reddit 上也有大量的反疫苗信息和讨论此类信息的相关子版块（r/subreddit）。上周超过 450 个子版块的管理者联署公开信，呼吁对此采取行动。Reddit 回应称它不会采取行动，因为异议是 Reddit 的一部分，也是民主的基础，它认为最佳的方法是允许社区参与讨论和发表异议。本周为了抗议 Reddit 的立场，超过 135 个子版块不再对外开放，其中包括有一千万订阅者的 r/Futurolog 和 r/TIFU，以及超过 100 万订阅者的 PokemonGo 等。在大规模抗议之后，Reddit 屏蔽了反疫苗子版块 r/NoNewNormal。
