You can add an extra layer of security to your Slack account by setting up two-factor authentication. Here's how to enable 2FA in Slack.

Slack is a popular work collaboration tool used by millions. With such a large user base, your Slack account can become an easy target. Protecting your account requires more than just a password. You need a strong password combination plus two-factor authentication, for instance.

When two-factor authentication is enabled, Slack will require a code to approve logins. Without this code, access will be denied. It may seem like a hassle if you log in multiple times throughout the day, but it can help prevent unauthorized access to your account. In this article, you'll learn how to set up two-factor authentication in Slack.

What You Need to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication in Slack

To set up two-factor authentication in Slack, you'll need to log in to your Slack account via the desktop client or your web browser. You'll also need an active phone number as well as an email address to receive codes, or an authenticator app to generate codes.

Note that Slack does not currently support two-factor authentication set-up via the mobile app.
