Crushing Corona—this huge collection is free, and we are putting it out there as a gesture of unity inspired (whether we wanted it to be or not) by the difficult collective experience we’ve gone through together, a world united by challenge. We are winning this fight, but the memories, tragedies, and deep emotional imprint will remain with all of us for the rest of our lives. This set is fueled by the optimism, cooperation, and smarts that are getting us through this thing, and we hope you find it helpful and uplifting in its small way.

The collection reflects a scientist’s first look at those scary spikes through the microscope to their interpretation through children’s sidewalk drawings the world over. Science showed us the enemy, and then kids in every country hit the streets with brightly colored chalk. In certain respects, it was their unflagging optimism and unbreakable spirit that kept adults going, and we learned from them. Even as they rendered the dreaded virus, the bright colors and images of cheerful tomorrows helped all of us to stay calm and carry on. The images in this set weave that spirit into a variety of light and practical images.
