Our webinar hosts started by examining current options for using Ariba data in SAP Analytics Cloud. An import mode connection would allow import of Ariba data to Analytics Cloud, but would also present major challenges, as listed below.

A live mode connection would allow Analytics Cloud users to work directly with Ariba data, but unfortunately, such a live mode connection does not exist.

Using the APOS Live Data Gateway, we could create a live mode connection, but that too would present some major challenges, because the available API connection to Ariba is not an efficient means of streaming queries and data.

The APOS Live Data Gateway Ariba edition overcomes these live mode challenges with caching.
