If you want to lean towards a sustainable well-being, you need an ecosystem.
Summer vacations are a good opportunity to relax, change routines and switch to self-care mode. Here are a few tricks to help you keep the good vibes and positive energy all year round.

The way we handle our daily energy influences our mood and our productivity, it also impacts our families, our coworkers and everyone we interact with. Keeping that in mind on a daily basis is crucial to avoid toxic ripples in our own environment.
Learning to identify and acknowledge fatigue is very helpful. Most of us, especially moms, are pretty good at numbing exhaustion signs, and that never ends well.
So, when you wake up feeling tired and end up crashing on the couch several days in a row, don’t wait any longer and ask yourself:
- When was the last time I had a high level of energy?
- What always gives me the best energy?
- What sucks up my energy?
I suggest you write down the answers and initiate a family conversation.

Relieve your mental load
I do not mean put everything on someone else’s shoulders and give up all responsibilities overnight, I mean delegate. If you want less mental load, you have to accept to share chores and draining tasks whether at home or work. Things won’t probably be done your way but they’ll be done, somehow.
Letting go of control and perfectionism can be hard, but it’s really not an option if you are on the verge of burning out.
The following questions can help you get clarity on any given situation:
- What activities feel draining at the moment?
- How can I reduce or suppress them?
- If they can not be avoided, how can I get help?
This mindset also works for teams; well-being is a collective resource to cherish, it is essential to function and blossom.
Think sustainable development
Finding balance between instant pleasure and a sustainable well being is a huge challenge, especially today. Our phones and social media are designed to provide constant distractions and prevent us from thinking long-term.
Forming healthy habits that will serve us for years is tricky in a world of 24/7 infinite possibilities at our fingertips.
And yet, you will jeopardise your health is you don’t ask yourself:
- How can I avoid polluting my brain with useless and toxic information?
- What makes me feel fit?
- How can I regenerate daily?
Try to find at least 5 ideas for each of the above, and start acting on them immediately.
Reviewing your priorities, setting boundaries and having a global vision of the way you manage your energy will allow you to create a personal ecosystem. You will then form a unique set of habits and become more productive, perseverant and resilient. This is the best way to lean towards a sustainable well-being, a stronger self-confidence and better relationships.
