Yes, one of the world's most popular video chat apps comes with a free version! You'll be able to host up to 100 participants, with gallery view, screen share, and waiting room functionality included. Plus, you'll get unlimited 1-to-1 meetings.

However, the free plan from Zoom has some pretty serious limitations. For one, calls with multiple users are limited to only 40 minutes, which sometimes just isn't enough. Additionally, you'll miss out on a wide range of helpful business features, like reporting, admin feature control, and user management.

RingCentral

RingCentral just added a new video conferencing app called Glip to its lineup, and it offers one of the best free versions on the list. With 24-hour time limit for unlimited meetings, cloud recordings up to 10 hours, and integrations with Microsoft 365 and Google Workplace, Glip could make its case for your next download.

Still, Glip's significantly late entry into the video conferencing discussion could be its downfall. Many have already chosen their app of choice for the pandemic, and getting new users could prove difficult. But if you want to get in on the ground floor, you could enjoy a great app that no one knows about just yet.

Lifesize

Lifesize also offers a free mobile app that allows you to video chat at no cost. You'll have access to unlimited meetings of no more than 25 participants at a time, which isn't a lot, but is more than enough to get by for no charge. You'll also get access to Lifesize online support for any issues.

Lifesize's free plan, however, doesn't feature some important features for businesses, like a centralized management console or integration with third-party apps. However, it's a very solid very option if you're on a budget.

Skype

Skype offers one of the more robust free options when it comes to video conferencing.
