The swell of the synth on the main menu, backed by the bright orange lights of the Normandy’s command deck lets you know what you are in for. For veterans of Mass Effect, this upgraded Legendary Edition (which includes the entire trilogy and its DLC) will set off a pavlovian response; the breadth and detail of its galaxy, the strengths and flaws of its eclectic crew, scrappy sci-fi combat, space nookie.
