欧洲投资银行表示，欧盟在区块链和人工智能投资方面落后于中国和美国。欧洲投资银行周二表示，预计这两项技术的投资仍将短缺约100亿欧元(约合120亿美元)。目前全球250亿美元区块链和人工智能投资中，中国和美国占80%，欧盟仅占7%。
该行表示，与其它地区相比，这两个领域的投资不足表明欧盟未能将科学知识转化为适用的商业模式。欧洲投资银行表示，预计对这两种技术的投资将有助于全球疫情复苏，涵盖从医疗保健到金融服务等多个领域。该银行还表示，如果欧盟想要跟上全球竞争对手的步伐，将需要来自私人市场的额外资金。（Cointelegraph）
