本周五，Facebook宣布收购热门VR游戏《Onward》的开发商Downpour Interactive。
Facebook AR/VR内容副总裁Mike Verdu在一篇博文中表示："近年来，我们看到《Onward》先后在Oculus的Rift和Quest平台上取得了巨大的成功。成为Oculus Studios大家庭的一员，将使Downpour Interactive有机会在Oculus Studios资源的全力支持下继续发展《Onward》社区，并在未来开发其他项目。”
Verdu表示，Downpour Interactive的每个员工都将 "以某种身份 "转移到Oculus Studios团队中。他还证实，《Onward》仍将继续在目前提供的所有平台上得到支持，包括Oculus Rift、Oculus Quest和Steam。
Downpour Interactive的创始人兼首席执行官Dante Buckley表示，《Onward》的功能路线图将 "保持不变"，并且由于收购，该工作室计划 "加快我们的开发速度"。他表示，Downpour Interactive还将继续保留 "对所有开发的完全控制"。
