北京时间5月21日，本赛季最佳第六人的三位候选人出炉，他们分别是：乔丹-克拉克森、乔-英格尔斯和德里克-罗斯。
爵士队打出本赛季的最佳战绩，板凳席的出色表现功不可没，尤其是乔丹-克拉克森，他在爵士队找到了自己最合适的角色。
与此同时，克拉克森在爵士的队友英格尔斯也成为今年最佳第六人的候选人。
罗斯本赛季加盟尼克斯之后，和锡伯杜找到了当年在公牛队的默契，而罗斯也成功转型。
