众所周知，拒绝别人是一件很困难的事情。因为我常年受这个问题折磨，所以有时候我请人帮忙会主动提供拒绝的选项，即：我想请你帮个忙，但你可以选择不帮，不必有压力。忙人通常都会接受这个选项，而这次我头一次碰到一个在我说你可以不用帮我的情况下仍然主动要帮我的人，这位大人是与我素不相识的 David Donoho。当然，我认识他，他并不认识我；我们唯一一点联系是他在《数据科学 50 年》的文章中提到了我的 knitr 包，然后就是 2012 年底我在布朗大学的一个研讨会上听过他一次报告。
维基百科上写着这位大人又被称为“The Donohomie”，我不是很明白这是啥意思。
