It's official; Nvidia's next-gen RTX 3060 GPU is here, and so is the associated driver. Time for gamers to enjoy some out-of-this-world graphics, then.

Nvidia Releases the RTX 3060 GPU

Nvidia has announced, via an Nvidia.com news post, that the latest in its line of high spec graphics cards is available to buy, now.

Not only that, but anyone whose pre-order delivery arrived early can download the associated drivers and get to some gaming. Presumably you've already hooked the GPU up to your computer, right?

What Does the RTX 3060 Offer?

We saw what the GPU offers when Nvidia unveiled it at CES 2021. Since then, gamers around the world have been waiting patiently for the device to launch, finally.

The card has several neat features, including ray tracing, which makes light behave in a more natural fashion within computer games.

Having seen ray tracing in action on other devices, such as the PlayStation 5, we're keen to see how Nvidia's latest GPU handles processing this level of information. Nvidia details what else it can do:

With 10x the ray tracing performance of the GeForce GTX 1060, and double the rasterized performance, the new GeForce RTX 3060 offers previous-gen gamers a massive upgrade that’ll get them playing the latest and greatest games with fast frame rates, high fidelity graphics, and game-changing features like ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS, and NVIDIA Reflex.

Sounds pretty awesome, no? You can buy the GPU now at Nvidia.com.

The GPU is available now, but for how long we don't know. High-spec components like this, with advanced ray-tracing capabilities tend to sell out fast, just like consoles.

We advise you to act quick if you intend to buy one. They'll only end up in the hands of scalpers, otherwise.
