Florentino Perez is a well known Spanish businessman, civil engineer, former politician and current president of the Football Club Real Madrid. Florentino Perez also holds the position of Chairman and CEO at Grupo ACS, a Spanish civil engineering company. 

Florentino Perez started out by studying at Polytechnic University of Madrid. Following that he joined the Union Democratic Party in 1979. He ran in the Spanish General Elections in 1986 and served as Secretary General. 

After his stint in politics he joined as vice president of OCP Construcciones in 1993. In 1997 the company merged with another company to become Grupo ACS. He was named President of this new company.
