I'm literally looking for *anything*.

I'm trying to understand why Powershell even exists- or perhaps rather why it should exist after WSLx becomes ubiquitous.

Googling has gotten me pretty much nowhere in this effort.

As a generic scripting language, Powershell may not have any benefit over Perl or Python. However, it has tight coupling with Windows internals that makes it suitable for certain tasks. Eg: Obtaining temperature of a disk drive or CPU usage of a process using Get-WmiObject .
I use Perl & Python on RHEL for my primary work, and Powershell for all AnandTech-related benchmark automation (including GUI automation using WinAppDriver + PowerShell) on Windows
Oh that's interesting. So you're using powershell to manipulate in-game UIs?

For games, a combination of Powershell + (WinAppDriver / AutoHotKey) works, but it can be quite finicky as game updates with new screens can mess up the script.

I deal more with storage, networking, and systems workloads on the AT-side, and those can be reliably automated.

Is it public? I'd love to check it out.
