A new year, and new beginnings! With the fresh announcement of the newly minted vExperts, we are now opening up the vExpert sub-programs. This is our second year with the Cloud Provider sub-program and we are excited about its expansion.

VMware vExpert Cloud Provider 2021

First off – What’s a vExpert?

Great question! VMware vExperts are part of VMware’s advocacy program that promotes individuals that make significant contributions to their peers, organization, and global community. This program has been around for over a decade and has impacted many people.

Next, this program is also a way for us to say “thank you for your efforts” to the people who collaborate often, share their knowledge, and just want to help others in the VMware ecosystem. Furthermore, it’s way for these advocates also to understand what’s coming within VMware’s strategy.

The vExpert award is for individuals and is a reflection of their efforts.

VMware Cloud Providers

So who are our VMware Cloud Providers? These are organizations that participate inside of the VMware Cloud Provider Program that enables them to invest in VMware solutions in a consumption model. Many of these providers are also VMware Cloud Verified – they deploy a certified architecture that encompasses our VMware Cloud Provider Platform.

VMware Cloud Provider Stats:

  1. Over 4,300 providers globally
  2. Serving 120+ countries
  3. Constitutes over 10 million virtual machines
  4. Collaborating with 160,000+ end-customers

What does it take to become a Cloud Provider vExpert?

We are looking to expand this program! A few questions you should ask yourself:

  1. Do you work for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or VMware Cloud Provider that participates inside of the VMware Partner Connect Program (Cloud Provider Program)?
  2. Do you contribute any collateral (blog posts, whitepapers, videos, etc.) on a VMware solution for end-user consumption?
  3. Have you had the opportunity to speak at community events? VMUG, VMworld, EMPOWER, or any industry events will meet this criteria!
  4. Do you have experience and are passionate about VMware Cloud Provider specific solutions? A few solutions under this umbrella –
  5. Finally, do you work for an ecosystem partner that collaborates with VMware Cloud Providers?

If so, we want you to sign up! While the above list is just some context on what an example candidate could have, it is not comprehensive. We are looking for individuals to grow our global community.

What’s in it for you?

This is our second year with the vExpert Cloud Provider community, so we are looking to expand our collaboration further! A few items to call out –
