23% of Brits Plan to Buy Crypto – Trustnodes

The Brits are coming according to a survey of 6,070 randomly selected Brits this week by Piplsay, a global consumer research platform.

They found 54% know about cryptos somewhat (36%) or quite well (18%) with just 9% never hearing about them while 37% do not at all understand cryptos.

Interestingly 20% have already invested in cryptos, with no breakdown provided, while 57% have not invested and do not plan to do so.

23% who have not invested, plan to invest according to this survey which further reveals a generational trend.

Gen X, that is people in their 40s and 50s, don’t think crypto is safe, with just 22% saying it is, as compared to 39% of millennials, those in their early 30s and late 20s.

Zoomers, a small and developing group of those born after 2000, so teens and those in the early 20s, also see cryptos as safe at 39%.

Curiously, zoomers are more pro crypto than millennials, with 37% of zoomers planing to buy crypto compared to 27% of millennials.

However only 35% of zoomers and millennials understand crypto, and just 29% of xers, leaving significant room for education and awareness.

Overall the Brits are clearly turning pro crypto, with 46% saying brands like Apple, Amazon and Tesco should accept bitcoin and eth, while just 28% say they shouldn’t with 26% being unsure.
