Job searching is an exhausting and time-intensive process. Thankfully, there are some great job searching apps for Android and iPhone. These can help you stay up-to-date on new job postings and allow you to quickly apply right from your phone.
Let's look at some of the best mobile apps to aid in your job search.
1. Indeed

Indeed is one of the most well-known job searching websites, and its mobile app makes it easy to take your job search on the go.
Once you download it, just set up a profile and enter your job history, skills, and education information. Then you'll be ready to start applying. You also have the option to upload a resume to submit in place of your profile's job history. Indeed has some jobs marked as Apply From Your Phone so you know which ones you can apply for now, and which you'll need to save and apply for later from a computer.
When you select a job posting in the app, you can see all the job details. There is also an Insights tab that gives pay estimates, or lets you know whether the employer-provided pay rate is above or below the average for similar job titles in your region. This tab also includes ratings from current and former employees so you can make sure this is a company you would actually want to work for.

2. ZipRecruiter

The ZipRecruiter app hosts all types of job postings. Since the service is a tried and true job search engine, its app is equally easy to navigate and allows for simple mobile job application submissions.
The app displays Desktop Apply or Mobile Apply in the top corner of each search result. You can filter the results to view only Mobile Apply. If you'd rather scroll through them all, just tap the heart icon to save any Desktop Apply job that you are interested in. This places it in your saved jobs list, so you can easily pull it up and apply once you're at a computer.

3. Snagajob

Snagajob is a job search app geared towards hourly positions. The app features mostly retail, food service, warehouse, and delivery jobs. It's thus a great job search app for high school and college students, as a large portion of the roles are flexible, part-time, and entry-level.
You can create a profile with your experience, availability, education, and references, then use it to populate applications for jobs marked Easily Apply in-app. This makes applying from your phone simple, though there are some jobs that direct you to the company’s website to submit your application. The app also displays daily job matches based on your profile and application activity, which makes finding relevant new job posts quick and easy.
This service does a nice job of displaying all the information that you need to decide if you want to apply for a particular role. Some job search engines and apps will only display the city that an employer is in, but SnagaJob postings have the address displayed for most employers. You'll at least be able to see the neighborhood within the city listed.
Snagajob also displays pay ranges for most listings.

4. Glassdoor

The Glassdoor app includes three core features to assist you with your job search: salary information, company reviews, and a job search engine.
The job search engine works similar to the others discussed here. You can search for jobs by title, location, company name, or keyword. The app also provides daily job recommendations based on your account and in-app activity. Glassdoor also encourages its users to create job alerts, allowing you to stay up-to-date with new job postings.
The salary feature helps you find salary and compensation information. This is useful if a job listing does not provide its own salary information. It also comes in handy if the listing asks for your desired salary range and you want to get an idea of what's reasonable. It can also help currently employed people find out whether they're getting fair compensation compared to the average salaries for their role and region.
The company pages provide information on the business including available roles, salaries, employee ratings, benefits reportedly offered, and what to expect at the interview. This is a great resource for interview prepping, or when deciding whether to invest time in applying to a particular company.

5. LinkedIn

LinkedIn is both a professional social network and a job search app. Its mobile app has a job search feature containing listings from tons of companies in different fields. Compared to some of the above, LinkedIn is a great place to look for career-level positions.
Beyond just applying for jobs, you can also use the social network features to find job opportunities. Add your existing professional network and ask those people for endorsements of your skills and reviews to make your profile stand out to recruiters. You can also set your profile to Open to Work so that recruiters know you are looking for a new job.

You can also reach out to new people in order to network. If you find someone currently working in your target field or company, you might send them a thoughtful message and ask questions. Many LinkedIn members are open to answering questions, providing referrals to open roles, or having an informal phone call to share more about the company or their career path.

Job Searching Is an Involved Process
These apps will boost your job search, but they won't make it instant. Try not to get discouraged if you don't find your dream job right away. Remember that new jobs are posted on services like these every day.
If you invest time into taking advantage of the networking, company research, and application tools in these apps, you're sure to find the best fit for your career goals eventually.
