Western Digital 為 WD Black P50 等 4 款外接固態硬碟加入 4TB 選項
M.2 模組容量已經進入 4TB 甚至 8TB 時代，外接固態硬碟產品連帶受惠。
Western Digital 在 CES 2021 展覽期間，似乎並未準備帶來什麼新產品，目前看來是先因應遊戲玩家、內容創作等族群，對於外接儲存裝置的容量需求，為 4 款外接固態硬碟產品加入 4TB 容量選項。
這 4 款產品分別為 WD Black P50 Game Drive SSD、SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD、SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD、My Passport SSD，都是在過去一兩年內陸續發表推出，4TB 容量版本將於第一季開始出貨銷售。
WD Black P50 Game Drive SSD 和 SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD 4TB 參考價格依序為 749.99、749.99 美元（MSRP），兩者都是採用 USB 3.2 Gen 2×2（20Gbps）介面設計，分別搭配 SN750E 與 SN730E 固態硬碟模組。WD Black P50 Game Drive SSD 只標示讀取速度最高可達 2,000MB/s，反觀 SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable SSD 是讀取與寫入，都標示能達到 2,000MB/s 速度。
而 SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD 與 My Passport SSD 4TB 價格是 699.99、679.99 美元（MSRP），兩者同屬於 USB 3.2 Gen 2（10Gbps）介面設計，並且都搭配 WD SN550E 固態硬碟構成，標示性能同為讀取 1,050MB/s、寫入 1,000MB/s。這 4 款產品的設計導向不同，WD Black 系列主打遊戲、熱血玩家市場，SanDisk 品牌主要是迎合攝影等專業工作者，而 My Passport 適合普羅大眾。
