Hugh Adams is a graphic designer and illustrator based in Melbourne, Australia. He’s been working in the design industry for more than 15 years and established his own online studio and shop, Huebert World, as a source of premium design resources.

As its name aptly suggests, Microbe Organism – Abstract Backgrounds provides a variety of high-resolution illustrations reminiscent of microbe organisms when viewed through a microscope. 

“These abstract images were created in various light conditions, with deep, beautiful pixels, shapes, angles, and textures,” Hugh said. 

The result is a mesmerizing collection of maze-like patterns that can be used for everything from backgrounds to foregrounds, web site designs, book covers, album artwork, notebook covers and stationery, greeting cards, product packaging, gift wrap and gift bags, photo overlays, digital art collage, decor accents and fabric designs.

The images in this collection are particularly well-suited to design projects relating to the themes of medicine, biology, microbiology, science, and health, although they’re readily adaptable to themes that go well beyond the realms of science and medicine.

Microbe Organism – Abstract Backgrounds provides 15 high-resolution files in vector .eps and .pdf formats. Additionally, it includes .jpg files and .png files with transparent backgrounds. The artwork is sized to fit full-sized A3 (297 x 420 mm /11.7” x 16.5”) at 300 dpi so it’s well suited to both print and digital design applications.
