Latest Apple Pay offer grants 20% off Grubhub orders

For obvious reasons, New Year’s Eve plans aren’t quite what they normally are in 2020. But thanks to a new Apple Pay offer, at least you can get 20% off a food delivery from Grubhub.

Provided that you pay using Apple’s payment platform, that is.

The Grubhub discount — available through January 1, 2021 — allows you to claim the 1/5 discount on a single delivery in excess of $10 (not including tax, tip or fees). You must place the order using the Grubhub app or the Grubhub website. You then must enter the promo code APPLEPAY at checkout, and pay using Apple Pay.

It cannot be used toward a food order that includes alcohol, can’t be used in conjunction with other offers, and is valid only on personal accounts (not corporate ones).

Grubhub lets you order takeout from a wide range of local eateries, covering a variety of cuisine types. “Whether it’s Chinese, Greek, Italian, or any other food type you’re craving, it’s covered,” the company says. “With exclusive local restaurant partners like Taco Bell and McDonalds, you’ll find that mom and pop shop AND the national spot you love.”

Apple Pay offers are worth exploring

Apple regularly teams up with retailers for special offers on products via Apple Pay. These can range from fast food like free fries at McDonald’s or a $1 chicken sandwich at Burger King to discounts on custom Ray-Bans eyewear or sports merchandise.

It’s a smart setup, since it gives these retailers extra exposure while promoting Apple Pay. From a customer perspective, these deals frequently offer good deals. It’s worth checking in regularly just to stay on top of them.
