Proposals for a new XML generation
There has been a lot of discussions for the last 5 years around proposals for a new XML generation. These last few weeks, people took the opportunity to propose new ideas on what should be XML. So a post for keeping track of the old and new.

- XML 2.0, 10 November 2004, Norman Walsh
- XML5, 23rd October 2007, Anne Van Kesteren. It was associated with a google code project which never really took off the ground and a service for testing the ideas behind this XML5, but the most developed in terms of implementation.
