Shiny new Javascript session replayer now live

Back in Friday's post about the "timing output" feature of script, I mentioned that I couldn't ignore the timing anomalies any longer. What I didn't mention was why.

Now I can share the details. I've reworked it to add some features which were requested by some of my readers (and future students, perhaps): pause/play, restart, and even backing up and jumping forward. I also added variable speed playback in case my typing really bores you and you want to go faster (up to 1000%!), or if you want to nitpick my every keystroke, you can drop down to 10% speed.

If you already checked it out and liked it, you should take another look. All of these controls make it far more interactive than it was before.

So, now that my "yak shaving" with script bugs and Javascript user interfaces is out of the way, it's time to talk about code lessons!

Yep, I'm going to record myself writing the code for those modules so anyone can sit back and watch it all come together. These sessions will be viewable in a browser through the interface demonstrated above.

I've received several requests for sites to consider. There's delicious (bookmarking), FriendFeed (pulling from many places via APIs) and even Twitter, specifically the part where you fan out a post to your followers.

Now's your chance to make suggestions about what you'd like to see and convince me to build something specific. Just send me a note!
