Minecart problem?

I am very frustrated how inconvenient minecarts speed is in Minecraft for some reason. Now, despite all the updates minecarts are unspoken of, it seems like Minecraft creators don’t even care.
Like they should make enhancements in speed; maybe add acceleration? Or the furnace minecart combined with powered rail would increase speed? Anyways we should ensure they have this in their mind, a simple request in the meant website page will be helpful, right?
If we make a well planned suggestion then they could implement it rather fast and everyone will be happy? Hopefully.
